My UK Theory Test

Privacy Policy

In short

No account, no ads, no ad tracking. Your study progress stays on your device. The app downloads its question bank from Google Firebase and uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to keep it stable. We never sell your data.

Who is responsible

My UK Theory Test 2026 is developed by Aliaksandr Polautsau, who is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy. Contact: [email protected].

Data stored on your device

There is no account and no sign-in. The app keeps the following only on your device:

  • Your study progress and statistics
  • Your test and practice history
  • Your settings

To show your progress, part of this data is shared with the app's own home-screen widget and Apple Watch app through an App Group. This data stays on your devices and is not sent to us, except the counters described under “Invite a friend”. Deleting the app removes it.

Question bank and updates (Google Firebase)

The questions and their updates are downloaded from Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). To deliver them, Google processes technical request data, such as your IP address and information about your device and the app. Google acts as our service provider.

Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase, which collects:

  • app usage events (how the app's features are used)
  • an app-instance identifier
  • device model, operating-system version and app version
  • approximate country

We use this information only for product analytics and to keep the app stable. It is not used for advertising or ad tracking, it is not linked to the advertising identifier (IDFA), and it is never sold. Google processes it as our service provider.

Invite a friend

Some of our apps offer an “Invite a friend” programme. If My UK Theory Test 2026 offers it and you use it:

  • the app creates a random installation identifier;
  • our server (Google Cloud Functions and Cloud Firestore in the app's Firebase project) stores your invite code, which code was used and — for the invited friend — the number of completed practice sessions and active days, so that rewards can be granted;
  • rewards are App Store offer codes assigned by the server.

We do not collect names, contacts or messages. Invitations are shared through the iOS share sheet, with the app or service you choose.

News (GOV.UK)

The News section loads official DVSA and DVLA news directly from GOV.UK; your device connects to GOV.UK for this, and GOV.UK's own privacy notice applies to that connection. Headlines are translated on your device with Apple's Translation framework; they are not sent to us.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. The app checks whether you have access with StoreKit, on your device. Apple's handling of purchase data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Notifications, speech and translation

Study reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; the app does not use push notifications. Text-to-speech and translation run on the device.

What we do not do

  • No account or sign-in — we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number
  • No advertising and no advertising networks
  • No ad tracking across apps or websites, and no use of the advertising identifier (IDFA)
  • No sale of your data

Children

The app is intended for people preparing for a driving test and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to a data protection authority.

  • Data on your device is under your control: deleting the app removes it.
  • Because there is no account, analytics data is not tied to your name. For requests about it, or about Invite a friend data, write to us (for the programme, include your invite code).
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Changes

This policy may be updated. Any significant change will be posted on this page with a new date.
