Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (the "Terms", also serving as the End User License Agreement) form an agreement between you and Aliaksandr Polautsau ("we", "us"), the developer of My DMV Test: Permit 2026 (the "App"). By downloading, installing or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
The App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement and to the App Store Terms of Service. Where these Terms are silent, Apple's terms apply.

2. What the App is — and what it is not
My DMV Test is a study aid for the written knowledge test required for a learner's permit or driver's licence in the United States. It simulates each state's test format, teaches road signs, and tracks your practice.
Important. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, state agency or the Federal Highway Administration. It does not issue permits, licences or official records, and it cannot register you for anything.
- Passing practice tests in the App does not guarantee that you will pass your state's real examination.
- Rules of the road change. Your state's current official driver handbook and its published regulations are always the authority — the App points you to them, and you should check them.
- Question counts, pass marks and section rules reflect what each state publishes; where a state does not publish that information, the App says so rather than guessing.
- The supervised driving log is a personal record you keep for your own convenience. It is not an official document, and your state may require its own form, its own wording or a notarised signature. Confirm the requirements with your DMV before relying on it.
- Nothing in the App is legal advice.
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules, including Family Sharing where the App or purchase supports it.
You may not: copy, sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the App or its content; extract, scrape or republish the question bank, explanations, state data or artwork, whether manually or automatically; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App except to the extent that applicable law expressly allows it; remove copyright or ownership notices; or use the App to build a competing product or service.
4. Free plan and Pro
The App is free to download and genuinely usable for free: unlimited practice by topic, the full catalogue of 620 road signs, and one full mock exam per day — with no ads.
Pro unlocks unlimited mock exams, weak-spot training, the mistakes bank, detailed statistics, and the supervised driving log with PDF export.
5. Plans, prices and renewal
Pro is sold as an in-app purchase. Prices below are those of the US App Store; the price applicable to your storefront and currency is always shown in the App before you confirm.
Auto-renewable subscriptions
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same duration unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings — Settings → your name → Subscriptions — at any time after purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial, as Apple's rules provide.
Restoring purchases
Use "Restore purchases" in the App to re-apply an existing purchase on any device signed in with the same Apple Account. All three products are eligible for Family Sharing.
6. Refunds
Apple, not us, is the merchant of record and handles all billing. Refund requests are governed by App Store policy and must be made to Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly, but if something in the App did not work as described, write to us and we will help.
7. Content and intellectual property
The practice questions, explanations, state law tables and the design of the App are our original work, written from the publicly available rules of the road that every state handbook teaches. They do not reproduce any state's official question bank.
Road sign artwork is public-domain material from the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), published by the Federal Highway Administration. Sign codes such as R1-1 or W3-3 are used descriptively to identify those signs.
Links to official state handbooks point to material published by the relevant agency, which remains that agency's property. All other content in the App is © 2026 Aliaksandr Polautsau. State and agency names are used only to identify the jurisdiction whose rules a section describes.
8. Your responsibilities
- Use the App lawfully, and never while driving.
- Record a supervising driver's name and signature in the drive log only with that person's knowledge and agreement, and keep the log honest — falsifying practice hours submitted to a state agency may be an offence.
- You are responsible for the data you enter and for keeping your own copies of anything you need, including exported PDFs. The App stores your data locally, so deleting it removes your records permanently.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its content is complete, current or free of mistakes — state rules change, and errors happen. If you spot one, please tell us and we will fix it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, time, opportunity or profits, arising out of your use of the App — including failing an examination, a rejected drive log, a delayed permit, or reliance on out-of-date information.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you actually paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or affects the mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
11. Privacy
The App collects no personal data: no account, no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and nothing leaves your device unless you export it yourself. The full details are in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12. Apple
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection or privacy law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes and termination
We may update the App and these Terms — to reflect new features, corrected content or changes in the law. The current version always lives on this page, with the date at the top. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, stop using the App and, if you wish, cancel any subscription.
This licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms. You may end it at any time by deleting the App.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, where the developer is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country or state of residence, and does not prevent you from bringing a claim in the courts there.
